Steps to Entry
The Nursery Admission Process

1. Introducing ourselves – the Information Pack
This will give you an insight into the daily life at The Nursery and Early Years. Further information is available as you click through our website pages.
2. Getting to know us – the Visit
Please contact us to find out about our next Open Morning or to book an individual tour of our site, please contact the Early Years Manager, Matt Weeks at weeksm@hazelwoodschool.com.
3. Registering
Following your visit, if you decide that you would like your child to join, it is necessary to register. Please complete a Registration Form in the Information Pack or available from the office and send it along with the registration fee, currently £100, to the Nursery Manager, Matt Weeks.
4. Offer of a place
Approximately 9 months prior to your child joining we will formally offer a place if one is available. We will also ask for your preference for days and sessions.
5. Confirming a place
A deposit, currently of £500, will be requested in order to confirm the place (see terms and conditions), along with a signed Acceptance Form and copy of your child's birth certificate. We will then ask for confirmation of your days and sessions if applicable. The School holds this deposit until your child's final term when it will be refunded provided you have given the correct notice.
6. An Introductory Meeting with the Room Leader
Following confirmation of a place, you will be invited to an introductory meeting with the Room Leader. The Room Leader will go through the relevant paperwork with you and arrange ‘settling in’ sessions.
7. The Settling In Process
Your child will have a couple of dedicated settling in sessions in order to get to know their key worker and make sure the actual start date is relaxed and enjoyable.
