Hazelwood’s Nursery and Early Years is a friendly, vibrant community which cares for, and educates, children from nine months to five years. Our children enjoy unrivalled facilities and fantastic opportunities for PE, music, drama and swimming in addition to our engaging Early Years curriculum.

We believe that education starts from birth and that the first five years of a child’s development are crucial in laying the foundations for lifelong learning. Therefore we ensure all our children are nurtured, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential and take the first steps on their learning journey. Our aim is to foster a real love of learning and thirst for knowledge that will see them through their whole school career and beyond.

Our experienced staff work tirelessly and imaginatively to give every one of our children the very best start in life possible. They are carefully chosen for the skills and expertise which they bring to our setting. No two days are ever the same at the Nursery and Early Years. We are dealing with unique characters and personalities who respond to different stimulus and activities. Our rooms, and level of care, are set up to respond to these very individual needs of each child in our care. We believe in the importance of learning through play, inside and outside, and enjoy fabulous fresh air facilities on the door step of each of our rooms.

The Nursery and Early Years is built on the foundations of partnership and participation. We work closely with parents and carers and regularly share information and discuss each child’s progress. Parents, family and friends are also warmly invited to all our events from music and drama performances to Sports Days and curriculum evenings.
